Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and MP for Akim Swedru, Kennedy Nyarko Osei has given the Auditor-General a 24-hour ultimatum to retract and apologise to him for publishing his name among GETfund beneficiaries.

Mr. Nyarko’s lawyers in a letter said the Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo should have known there was a problem with his inclusion because no money was attached to it.

The letter accused the Auditor-General of being unprofessional and malicious in his work.

The Auditor-General in a report revealed that some MPs and government officials received scholarships from the GETfund secretariat to study abroad.

A number of Ghanaians were surprised about the list because they do not consider the beneficiaries as needy.
