A wrap on Kwahu Easter interrupted by rains

By Nana Asare Mireku

Activities to climax the famous Kwahu Easter festivities were interrupted by heavy rains yesterday afternoon to this morning. Outdoor events last night at Obomeng, Mpraeso, Nkwatia, Abetifi, Obo, and Atibie amongst other towns were marred by the heavy downpour which began at around twelve noon Sunday, April 17, 2022.

When the news team visited some recreational centers and pubs in the aforementioned towns, patronage was low though other merrymakers defied the rains to have fun.

Also affected was the 30th Enstoolment Anniversary of the Chief of Abetifi, who doubles as the Adontenhene of Kwahu, Nana Acheamfour Asiedu Agyeman.

Present at the event was former President, John Dramani Mahama.

Meanwhile, about two hundred people took part in the annual Odweanoma Paragliding Festival which ended Monday, April 18, 2022.

A patron at the event, Mildred Frempong shared her views on the Odweanoma Paragliding Festival and said it was a ”nice experience”, and she looks forward to next year’s event.
