The Ghana Institution of Surveyors, GhlS, says per its records of qualified and registered members, comprising Land Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Valuation and Estate Surveyors, Richard Appiah, the suspect at the center of the Abesim murder case in Sunyani, is NOT a bonafide member of the Institution.
A statement by the Honorary Secretary of the Institution, Nana Nuamah Kyei Baffour, said the Ghana Institution of Surveyors, does not know the suspect nor have any dealings with him.
It said the Institution takes strong exception to media reports that sought to describe Richard Appiah as a Surveyor, and consequently, urged media houses, whose earlier reports on the issue, described the suspect as a Surveyor, to correct the anomaly.
