Two people have been confirmed dead in a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Monday, August 3, 2026, involving a State Transport Company (STC) bus, two fuel tankers, a Kia Sorento and a Mitsubishi pick-up at Etukrom, near Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region.
According to eyewitnesses’ accounts, the two victims died at the scene after the STC bus, one of the fuel tankers and the Mitsubishi pick-up were engulfed in flames following the impact of the collision.
One of the fuel tankers was also forced off the road and plunged into a nearby river, where it caught fire.

The injured victims, comprising four males and two females, are receiving treatment at the Hawa Memorial Hospital in Osiem.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates after completing rescue and assessment operations at the scene.
