Convicted actress Rosemond Brown popularly called Akuapem Poloo has been released from Prison three days after she was granted bail by an Accra High Court.
She was convicted to serve a 90-day jail term by an Accra Circuit Court after pleading guilty to three charges including publication of obscene materials involving her seven year old son.
There has been a tussle between her lawyer and the security agencies since she was granted bail, but she was brought to the court to sign her bail bond today.
According to GBC’s court correspondent Yvonne Asare Offei, the actress looked pale and traumatized, as she signed her bail bond.
Lawyer Andrews Kudzo Vortia described the processes leading to her signing the bail bond as cumbersome. He bemoaned bureaucracy in the prisons service.
