Social media influencer, entertainment and lifestyle blogger, Ameyaw Debrah, says he does not do advertisements for products that enhance the body and bleach the skin.
This, according to him, is because they are not genuine.
Speaking on GTV’s breakfast show, the social media influencer said he has rejected a lot of offers for these products.
So, I’ve turned down a lot of sexual stuff, like things that turn to enhance, libido, and these kinds of things, because I feel it is not true. No, I don’t do bleaching things. A number of things-even when it comes to forex and crypto. All these things, I’m careful.  I have to do some sort of background study and even the way you approach me also gives me an idea of whether you are legit or not,he stated.
The blogger stated that doing advertisements for these products affects his reputation.
“Because I once did a promotion for someone and then someone bought it.” He was in my DM complaining, and I was like, people take you for what you really put out. It’s your reputation, so if I did sell it, it was just a flash post that I posted for the person, and the person bought it because he saw it on my platform, and he complained that it didn’t work. He was stressing me out.
He, however, mentioned how he deals with brands that approach him with these kinds of products.
Actually, the person gave me the offer to try it, but it sort of has made me cautious now.  So there are some things that I would either overprice so that you don’t even come or just tell you that I don’t do these kinds of promotions.  So recently, there was a company calling itself ‘High Gold and I’ve had a number of DMs from different people saying they work with this and they want to engage me. And then sometimes I move forward and say I will engage you.  I told them to call me. They are like, they are not in Ghana but they are using Ghana number.  So these are some of the warning signs for me that I look at. Then I checked the website and it looks like it is badly done.  I’m like, this is not professional.  It’s not working if you claim to be what you say you are,” he added.
