Anlo Traditional Council expresses shock over Rawlings’ demise

The Anlo Traditional Council has expressed shock over the sudden death of former President Jerry John Rawlings.

The Council in a communique issued and signed by Awadada of Anlo State, Torgbi Agbesi Awusu II for the President of Anlo Traditional Council, Torgbi Sri at Anloga after a crunch meeting with all Paramount Chiefs within the Anlo States said, “we have lost a great irreplaceable personality”.

According to them, “the news of his demise was a great shock and surprise to us especially when we assisted in the burial ceremony of our beloved mother a few weeks ago”.

The statement states that, they lost a great irreplaceable personality who contributed immensely to the progress and development of Ghana Ghana

“Without any news of his ill health and for the news of his demise to be announced to us, came as a big blow. May his soul rest in peace”, they added.

The Anlo Traditional Council however, expressed their sincere condolence to the wife, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Zenator Rawlings and her other siblings and the Agbotui and allied families.

In a related development, the NDC Ketu South constituency has organized a memorial public walk at Agbozume to express their shock over the sudden death of the Former President and Founder of the NDC Party.

Hundreds of the NDC supporters dressed in red and black matched from Ativuta Tollbooth on the Aflao Accra Highway through Klikor township to Agbozume Lorry Park where the crowd observed a minute of silence in his honour.
