The Awomefia of Anlo and President of the traditional council, Togbi Sri, has congratulated the newly elected Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Abubakari Mahama.
He commended the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, the past and present governments’ for leading the way toward the peaceful final funeral rites of the late Yaa-Naa Mahama Abdulai and Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani.
In a statement, the Anlo traditional council hopes the selection and enskinment of Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama will bring peace, development and prosperity to Dagbon.
The statement says it is the wish of the Anlo state that the Gods of Dagbon will protect the new Yaa-Naa, and the people from any acts that have the capacity to derail the peace in Yendi.
