Be circumspect in reportage – Former President Kufuor tells Journalists

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has cautioned the media and journalists to be circumspect in their reportage.

He said media freedom does not give room to journalists to misconduct themselves in disseminating information to the public.

Speaking at the launch of the 70th Anniversary of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), the former President charged journalists to respect the Law and the Constitution of Ghana.

He commended the GJA for its efforts in ensuring democracy in Ghana and tasked journalists to accept their shortcomings and apologise for errors in their reportage when necessary.

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor paid tribute to journalists who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
