Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Tin-ifa Group, Rev. Dr. Nana Yaa Owusu-Prempeh has cautioned that there are NO instances that one can replace his or her blood relations with friends.
According to her water cannot be a substitute for blood in any circumstance.
Rev. Dr. Nana Yaa Owusu-Prempeh gave the caution when she appeared on the GTV Breakfast Show Monday, 18th April, 2022.
Speaking on the topic “Essence of family reunion” she asserts that no matter how bad or ill your blood relation (family) treats you, you can never put your friends in place of family.
Rev. Dr. Owusu-Prempeh explained further that one can only realize the essence of blood family when he or she is incapacitated.
“To those who thinks blood family is not important because they didn’t get the needed support or feel rejected by their blood relations and can substitute their blood family with friends should think twice. Because one can only realize the importance and essence of blood family in their days if adversity”. she stated.
”Who mostly visit or cared for those who find themselves in psychiatric homes, in prisons, with permanent diseases among others? It’s the blood family who does that and not friends”, she explained.
Rev. Dr. Owusu-Prempeh pointed out that even though one’s parents may not have taken care of them for one reason or the other they(children), still do have a responsibility of taking care of their parents.
”I get worried when I hear people saying their mums didn’t care for them and so they find love in somebody, because the truth is you can never exchange mother’s love”.
Rev. Dr. Owusu-Prempeh added.
