People of Agbozume in tlhe Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region were thrown into a state of shock when they discovered an abandoned dead body on Saturday morning.

The body of a young man, suspected to be in his early 40s, was found in a stagnant lake at a community called Gbewordokorpe, about a kilometer from the Agbozume  Market.

The community folks who woke up to the sad news at the early hours of Saturday, 14th December, 2019 were very astonished and attributed it to  murder.

They assumed that, the man was  either killed elsewhere and dropped there for ritual purposes or was drunk and drowned.

The young man is  yet to be identified or traced to any relations of his.

A visit to the scene by our reporter Edzorna Mensah, revealed that, the swollen body seemed to have decomposed but his clothing was intact.

When contacted, the immediate past Assemblyman for the area, Dzaglame Electoral Area, Lord Lucus Gbewordoh said, he reported the issue to the Agbozume Police and they were working on it.
