The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr Dramani Bukari Ecomog, has died in London after a short illness.
The NPA confirmed the death in a Facebook on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
The news has also been corroborated by some government officials and members of the governing party, who have shared messages of condolence on social media.
Details about the illness that led to Dr Bukari’s death and the circumstances surrounding his passing have not yet been disclosed.
Dr Dramani Bukari Ecomog served as one of the Deputy Chief Executives of the NPA, the institution responsible for regulating Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry.
The death is expected to generate tributes from colleagues, government officials and other stakeholders in the petroleum sector.
The family and the National Petroleum Authority are expected to announce details of his funeral and burial arrangements in due course.
