As the rains set in, landlords and residents of Buokrom in Kumasi particularly those staying near the St. Anthony Catholic Church are worried. This is because their houses get flooded whenever it rains heavily.

The anxiety is more about the health and lives of children who must go to school. Also, all residents in that area become susceptible to reptile attacks as a result of the flooding caused by the rains.

They are therefore urgently appealing to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO to construct drainage systems to direct and contain the flood waters, as the only solution to their problem.
