The Chiefs and people of the Sirigu Traditional Area in the Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region have appealed to government to as a matter of urgency provide them with basic social amenities.

These include potable water, motorable road network, good drainage system and connecting the remaining communities onto the national grid.

This came up at an event organised by the chiefs and people to mark the lifting of the ban on drumming and noise-making in the traditional area.
