Residents of Ho and its environs are appealing to the Ghana Water Company to come clear on developments regarding a burst pipe in the Municipality.

Reports say water has not been flowing for the last ten days affecting all activities in the area.

A resident, Lambert Atsivor, who spoke to GBC’s Radio Ghana said open defecation is currently on the rise because the people are unable to use their water closets. Also chop bar operators use water from undisclosed sources to cook. A situation Mr. Atsivor fears could cause cholera.

The Regional Chief Manager of the Ghana Water Company, Joseph Nkrumah said it will take four months to permanently fix the burst pipe.
