Christians tasked to join campaign against poor sanitation

Religious leaders have been tasked to encourage their followers to join the national campaign against poor sanitation in the country.

They must take it upon themselves and see it as a burden, since resources that could be spent on higher needs for the country are being spent on simple sanitation issues.

It is therefore important for every christian to show a high sense of commitment and responsibility to ensure clean environment at where ever they find themselves.

The General Overseer of the International Praise Prayer Ministry, Prophet Enoch Essel stated this at a Thanksgiving service, dubbed ‘Be part of government national sanitation agenda to make Ghana clean,’ at sekondi in the western region.

Poor Sanitation is liked to transmission of diseases such as cholera diarrhoea dysentery and hepatitis.

It can affect every body when their environment are not conducive for living .issues of sanitation has become a major concern to all.

It is based on this that the International Praise Prayer ministry has taken it upon itself to pray and fast to help people change their attitude towards the environment.

Prophet Enock Essel commended the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC) for its educative programmes on sanitation and called on the National Media Commission, (NMC) to check and regulate the productions of on some of the private television stations in the country to ensure they churn out educative programmes fo the benefits of Ghanaians.
