President Akufo-Addo has extended his condolences to the families of the 15 persons who lost their lives tragically in the church building that collapsed at Akim Batabi near Oda.

The President, in a tweet on Thursday, October 22, also wished the survivors a speedy recovery.

The five-storey church building belonging to the Church of Prosperity collapsed at Akyem Batabi in the Eastern Region, trapping some worshippers on Tuesday afternoon.

About 65 worshippers were in the building at the time of the collapse.
