A class four pupil of the Sunyani Methodist Primary “B” school, Belinda Kyera, allegedly hanged herself to death on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 2pm at Sunyani New Town, and the body has been deposited at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector, Augustine Kinsley Oppong confirmed the story to the GNA.
He could not immediately give details, but said investigations were on-going.
Yaw Oppong, a relative, told the GNA that the deceased “Nana Adwoa” allegedly committed tha act after she had closed from school.
He said the deceased who had just returned from school washed her uniforms.
The grandmother whom she stayed with could not find her for some time.
She became suspicious and informed other relations and they mounted a search only to find her body hanging in one of the rooms in the house.
