Meanwhile, Director of LGBTQI +Rights in Ghana, Alex Donkor has asked Ghanaians to look at issues relating to LGBTQI as human right issues.

He further said, people who are identified as LGBTQI are verbally and physically attacked in the country and this must stop because they have fundamental human rights which must be respected and protected by society.

Explaining the reasons behind the setup of an LGBTQI office in Ghana, he said the office was created to talk about issues which affect them as a community and ways in which it can be resolved.
