Cocobod to cut 11 million cocoa trees

Ghana Cocoa Board (Cocobod) says eleven million cocoa trees have been earmarked to be cut by the Board for a period of five years.

Speaking on GBC’s “Behind the News”, Executive Director of the Cocoa Health and Extension Division of the Board, Emmanuel Opoku said the first ten thousand of the number earmarked will be done in the Western, Northern and Eastern Regions.

The Exercise by the Board is to cut down all diseased and weak cocoa trees.
