Combined Police, Military force deployed to Sogakope South to calm irate youth following alleged murder of Assembly man

A combined Military and Police force have been deployed to Sogakope following an attack on a police station and road blockage by some angry youth in the area.

The angry youth clashed with the police over alleged delayed response which led to the death of the assembly man for the Sogakope South Electoral area Marcus Adzahli.

The clash resulted in gun shots, injuring some residents.

In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Volta regional Minister, Archibald Letsa urged the youth to remain calm and cooperate with the security agencies as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, the PRO of the Volta Regional Police Command, Corporal Prince Dogbatse said no arrests have been made and called for public support to help in investigations.
