Fix our roads – Residents of Manso

Residents of Manso in the Ashanti Region have appealed to government to construct the roads in the area.

Residents say attention should be paid to the area because of its contribution to national development as a cocoa-growing and mining hub that needs attention.

The people say heavy-duty equipment used by the mining companies are making the road worse by the day, and governments have not done enough to dissuade the mining companies with heavy-duty equipment from destroying them.

They also urged the companies to develop the roads as part of their corporate social responsibility.

A trader, Madam Adwoa Kyere, said the mining activities render the road unmotorable resulting in difficulty transporting goods, especially during the rainy season.

A self-employed, Afua Akambilla complained of the unbearable dust on the road and called on government to do something about it.
