The General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr. Justice Yankson says the construction of the 88 District hospitals by the President though laudable is overdue.
He said good health care to the people should be the priority therefore having some Districts without hospitals at this critical time is worrying. Dr. Yankson spoke with Naa Atswei Sowah.
Meanwhile, the Dean, School of Business, University of Cape Coast, Professor John Gatsi, says it will be difficult to appreciate the reality of the construction of 88 district hospitals announced by the President in his address last night. Professor Gatsi in an interview with Naa Atswei Sowah noted that it is not feasible for the construction of the hospitals within the spate of one year.
He said the said hospitals has no source of funding which in effect is a campaign talk whereas some hospitals have been abandoned for some years now
