Ghana needs about $15.5 billion of investment to implement the 47 nationally determined measures from now till 2030.

Of that amount, $3.9 billion would be required to implement the 16 unconditional programs. The 31 conditional programs of action will be mobilized from the public, international, and the Private Sector sources as well as from the carbon market.

The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie said additional $3 million will be needed biennially to support actions and the regular reporting of the NDC’s.

A Deputy Director, Climate Vulnerabilities and Adaptation, Environmental Protection Agency, Dr. Antwi Boasiako-Amoah said observing the Ghana day will attract donor partners and also promote networking among delegates.

Institutions and agencies will showcase what they are doing in addressing climate change.
