The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), has hinted of a hike in Petroleum prices latest Wednesday, May 19, barely a fortnight after prices at the pumps in Ghana shot up by over 12 percent.

This, according to COPEC, is due to the introduction of some new taxes, increases in margins by the NPA as well as increases on the international market, fuel prices are set to go up again in the next few hours.

Executive Secretary of COPEC, Duncan Amoah, advised government to formulate a plan that will localise petroleum pricing, which can be done by utilizing the stabilisation fund.
