Coronavirus: Ghanaian students living in Wuhan not likely to be infected – Chinese Ambassador to Ghana

The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Shi Ting Wang says Ghanaian students living in Wuhan are not likely to be infected by the coronavirus.
According to him, foreigners studying in Wuhan have been isolated from the citizens and this will prevent them from getting into contact with affected persons.
The Chinese Ambassador who said this during a news conference in Accra assured family members of Ghanaian students in China not to be apprehensive.
Coronavirus which was detected in December last year (2019) has become a  global health issue.  For some time now, there have been calls from Ghanaian students living in Wuhan for the president to evacuate them. But this has been kicked against by the Ghana Health Service.
Speaking at a news conference, the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Shi Ting Wang reassured parents of the Ghanaian students in Wuhan of their safety and assured them that since the outbreak, no African students living and studying in that province has been affected by the virus.
Mr Shi Ting Wang stated that the number of Ghanaian living in China is 6,500 and out of that number only one hundred and fifty-one (151) are under scholarship in Wuhan.
