The Central Business District, the market circle, Ebirewfomu second-hand shoe and cloth market, old Axim station and other major markets in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis in the Western Region are set to be closed to business from Tomorrow May 28.
This decision was taken at an emergency joint Security Council meeting by the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, STMA and the Effia-Kwesimintim Municipal Assembly, EKMA following the rapid spread of Covid-19.
The region has more than 300 positive cases with 2000 pending results.
