The Ada Magistrate Court has convicted 24 out of 25 persons who failed to wear the nose mask to momentary fines.
The culprits—comprising 15 males and 5 females—were arrested at Kasseh in a swoop led by the Ada Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Francis Somian.
They were fined sums of money ranging from ¢290.00 to ¢750.00 after pleading guilty to the charges.
One of the accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail, while three of them who could not pay their fines were kept in police custody.
Superintendent Somian warned of more arrests in the coming days.
