COVID-19 Trust Fund receives ¢1,394,400 & USD$5,000

The Covid-19 National Trust Fund on Thursday received an amount of GHc1,394,400 from sixteen (16) public and private companies to support government’s efforts at assisting the needy and the vulnerable affected by the deadly scourge of the coronavirus pandemic.

Among the donors include Societe Generale Ghana, who through its Managing Director, Hakim Ouzzani gave a cheque of 500,000, to the Fund.

The CFAO Group, led by the Country Delegate, Paulo Fernandes, donated two (2) Mitsubishi L200 Pick-Up Tracks worth GHs300,000 to the Fund.

Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana through its President, Benjamin Botwe made a cheque donation of GHc 100,000 and, GHANA Consulting Engineers Association also presented a cheque of $5,000 to the Fund.

Additionally, Chemico Limited and the Chartered Institute of Banker, Ghana presented a cheque of GHs100, 000 and GHc30, 000 respectively to the Covid-19 Trust Fund.

Free SHS One Hot Meal Food Vendors — Vendir Association presented a cheque of GHs13,000, while Ghana Union of Traders Association also presented a cheque of GHs 50,000 to the Fund.

More also, Nana A. P. Nuamah   Architect/Director, ADK Consortium presented a cheque of GHs50,000, whiles Azar Group through its Managing Director, Mr. Ghazi Azar, made a cheque donation of a GHs100,000.

Promasidor Ghana Limited made a cheque donation of GHs70,000 and Cowbell products worth  GHC60,000 to the Fund.

Energy Commission also presented a cheque of GHc50,000 while Minerals Commission, through its Board Chairman, S. K. Boafo presented a cheque of GHc100,000 to the Covid-19 Trust Fund.

Believers Love World Incorporated*, Pastor, *Deacon Joshua Amfo Sackey*, Sixty Thousand Ghana Cedis *(GHc 60,000.00)*

New Apostolic Church, led by the Apostle for Southern Ghana, Togo and Bennin, Apostle Benjamin Ohene Saffo also presented a cheque of GHc121, 400 to the Fund.

Securities and Exchange Commission Ghana presented a cheque of GHc 50,000 and 200 packs of Bottle Water, 40 gallons of Hand Sanitizers and 20 Veronica Buckets to the Trust Fund.

The chairperson, Justice Sophia Akuffo and, a member of the Board of Trustees, Mr Ofori Sarpong, received the donations on behalf of the Covid-19 Trust Fund.

The Chairperson of the Fund, expressed the President’s appreciation to the donors of their kind gesture, and assured that the monies and products would be put to good use and for the intended purpose for which the Fund was created.
