Two health facilities at Denyase and Achiase in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the central region have been provided with mechanized boreholes.
The project will improve upon sanitation and hygiene in the two facilities
The USAID in partnership with the Rotary Club of Accra Airport handed over the Mechanized Boreholes to Denyase and Achiase chip compounds.
The group also donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth GH60,000.00 to fight against Covid-19.
The President of Rotary Club of Accra Airport Mrs. Rosalind Awovi Kudoadzi said the two health facilities have over the years been bedeviled with water challenges and expressed the hope that the projects will help improve healthcare delivery at the facilities.
She charged the nurses to take good care of the projects and ensure its regular maintenance in order to prolong their lifespan.
The Dunkwa Municipal Health Director Upper Denkyira East Dr. Daniel Acorlor thanked the Rotary International for the gesture and advised the nurses to take good care of the projects and ensure its regular maintenance.
