Commercial drivers who use the newly opened Pokuase Four Tier Interchange have suggested that MTTD officials be posted on the interchange to direct drivers who miss their way.

The drivers acknowledge the importance of the road to their business and the socio-economic development of the country. However, without proper direction and signposts indicating the turns on that stretch, it would become a death trap, that is why there is the need for the drivers to become familiar with the Tiers as soon as possible.

Until now, drivers and commuters who use the Ofankor Pokuase Amasaman highway had to contend with heavy vehicular traffic due to the several routes that connect with these areas.

To ease this burden, government started a four-tier interchange at the cost of $94.8 million.

President Akufo-Addo last week officially opened the project paving the way for free traffic. Despite the relief the project has brought to road users, it came with some challenges one of which is identifying which tier connects the other.

Chairman of Nkosour Transport union at Pokuase Obeng Debrah said the police must be on the interchange to direct drivers who miss their way.

Contractors of the interchange are putting finishing touches like the lawns, gardening and walkways.
