The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), will from the first quarter of next year, roll out uniformed signages for approved driving schools in the country.

The move is to make accredited institutions more visible to stamp out activities of uncertified driving schools.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana on the influx of driving schools in the country, Director, Driver Training, Testing and Licensing, Kafui Semevo, said it is rare to find uncertified driving institutions, as the Authority carries out annual inspection of schools.

It also operates an electronic monitoring platform to put an end to their activities. Mr. Semevor, however, advised prospective drivers to always demand DVLA certification from institutions before enrolling.
