Power was restored yesterday to the Yilo and Manya Krobo Districts after series of discussions between the youth of the two Districts and the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG.
However, there were reports that there was power cut after a few minutes but it has now been restored.
Speaking to GBC News, Chairman of the Yilo Krobo Youth Association, Isaac Tematey Otoo, said there have not been any official statement from the ECG as to why the lights went off but it is believed that the power outage was caused by a burning transformer.
