Eight ‘notorious car snatchers’ busted in Accra

The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested eight persons believed to be part of a notorious car snatching syndicate.

The syndicate which operated in Accra, usually attacked their victims with guns and knives.

The eight are currently in police custody waiting to be arraigned.

Some of the suspects whose identities have been confirmed include Emmanuel Amaning, 20 and Frank Atta Kwame Agyekum also age 22.

The Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Fredrick Adu Anim who spoke to CNR noted that one suspect is still at large.

The suspects are: “suspect Emmanuel Amaning, 20, an unemployed from New Abrim in the Eastern Region, also suspect Frank Ata Kwame Agyekum, 22, from Kwaku Obo also in the Eastern Region. The two reside at Agbogbloshie in Accra.”

“Evans Kwabena Nyakro, aged 21, from Kwahu Abene in the Eastern Region and lives at Kasoa Millenium City. His accomplice, Kwasi Adjomo is currently at large.”
