Ejura public enquiry: Wife of slain ‘fix the country campaigner’ testifies

The surviving wife of the late murdered Ibrahim Mohammed also known as Kaaka has told the Committee inquiring into the recent Ejura disturbances that her late husband had been threatened by some persons believed to be members of the New Patriotic Party to desist from using facebook live, a social media platform, to tarnish the image of the party in the Ejura Constituency.

Sahada Hudu, told the Committee at today’s hearing that one such accusers had even physically confronted Kaaka at one of the informal meetings at one of the usual joints of party activist but separated by colleagues present and that if he Kaaka did not stop what he was using social media to do at Ejura, he would see, saying that his husband informed her of all the happenings on his return from outside.

The mother of five told the Committee however, that at no point did Kaaka tell her about a threat in his life and that she has not yet made any report to the Police after her husband’s murder.

She testified in Hausa.
