A 34- year-old man, Iddrisu Yahaya, is in the grips of the Techiman Divisional Police Command in the Bono East Region for impersonating as a lawyer.

The suspect according to the Bono East Regional PRO, ASP Henry Ofori Addo, is a resident of Tema and was at the Techiman Circuit court on Wednesday February 5 to represent two persons accused of kidnapping but was arrested upon suspicion.

According to the Bono East Police PRO, ASP Henry Ofori Addo, Mr. Idrrisu was new in the court and as such needed to better identify himself as per the court procedures.

He was however not able to convince the presiding Judge Alexander Graham, hence his apprehension.

DSP Kofi Sarkodie, Techiman Divisional Crime Officer, tells GBC’s Radio Ghana that investigations into the matter revealed that, Mr. Iddrisu has no credible legal education background as he claimed.

He said all the culprits are in their custody helping in further investigations.
