The Acting-Director of Public Affairs at the EC,  Sylvia Annor, says the fire that gutted the Greater Accra Regional Office of the EC at Sapeiman, will in no way affect the conduct of the 2020 Elections.

She said although the matter is under investigation, items stored at the facility were absolute.

It took the Fire Service Team about two and a half hours to quench the fire.

BACKGROUND

A statement from the Commission said the items included old ballot boxes, used Form 1As/1cs, and referendum materials.
