The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development and the Fisheries Commission will accredit fish processors and traders in 2020.
This is to improve the quality of fish in markets locally and for export.
The certificate known as Class One Recognition Scheme Certificate will ensure that fish processors and traders meet the standards for processing fish hygienically.
It will also enable the Fisheries Commission to train small-scale fish processors on value-added production.
