Foreign Minister lauds deep ties between Ghana and Spain

Bilateral relations between Ghana and Spain is said to have improved tremendously over the years.

This was made known by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey in Accra.

Madam Ayorkor Botchwey lauded “the fruitful cooperation that exists between Ghana and Spain” which she says has “deepened progressively over the years.”

She made these comments when the Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Spain to Ghana, H.E. José Javier Guitérrez Blanco-Navarrete presented his Open Letters to her at her office in Accra.

Madam Ayorkor Botchwey underscored the contribution of Spain to Ghana’s economy through investments in several sectors, notably, agro-industries, renewable energy, construction, and health sectors.

She affirmed Ghana’s commitment to “strengthening relations with the Kingdom of Spain” and assured him that “the Ministry’s doors remain open for continuous cooperation with the Ambassador-Designate”


Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Spain to Ghana, H.E. José Javier Guitérrez Blanco-Navarrete was grateful for the warm welcome and pledged his commitment to working with tue government of Ghana to improve the lives of Ghanaians home and in Spain.
