The Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadjo Owusu Afriyie, says the Commission has commenced investigation into its workers alleged to be involved in the felling of Rosewood.
Speaking on news and current affairs programme “Behind The News” in connection with the seizure of trucks loaded with Rosewood in Tamale and parts of the Volta region, Mr Owusu Afriyie said latest by Friday (May 17) the Committee will bring to an end its work and workers who are found culpable will be prosecuted.
A Former Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Barbara Asamoah said government should be strict on the implementation of the ban on Rosewood.
She said those who flout the law with impunity should be punished severely to serve as a deterrent to others.
