Four persons are receiving treatment at the Police Hospital, after sustaining injuries in an accident on Wednesday morning, at the Stanbic Heights/Opeibea House intersection on the Airport stretch in Accra.

According to the Police, at about 7:30 a.m., a driver of an unregistered Chevrolet Spark with number DV 1377Ad-2021 traveling from the Opeibea House area and heading towards Madina failed to adhere to traffic regulations and drove through a red light on reaching that intersection of the Airport stretch.

In the process, the negligent driver ran into the Nissan Sentra with registration number GE 4631-18. On impact, the Chevrolet ran into a Royal motorbike with registration number M-21-GW 4835.

Both the rider and the pillion rider as well as a male adult pedestrian sustained injuries and were rushed to the Police Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

The negligent driver has however been treated and discharged.
