Municipal Chief Executive for Krachi East in the Oti Region, Francis Okesu, Dean of the Oti Regional MMDCEs has died in Kumasi.
The MCE was found dead in a hotel during his visit to the Ashanti Region
His death has officially not been announced by his family, but dozens within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Oti Region are mourning and paying tribute to him on their WhatsApp groups and status.
The cause of his death and mission to the Ashanti Region has, however, not been disclosed
Meanwhile, the NPP in Oti together with friends have thronged his home in Dambai to commiserate with the family.
Leaders of the party, friends, and loved ones who were close to the late MCE, were spotted crying uncontrollably.
His death comes after the demise of his other colleague, Marlon Anipa, first DCE for Guan district.
The Oti regional NPP secretary, Mr. Jonathan Akpabe, said he received a call informing him about the death of the MCE and the police have also confirmed to him although the cause of death was readily not available.
The Oti regional NPP secretary said he is awaiting official confirmation on cause of death from the police.
