The Ghana Armed Forces have cautioned applicants hoping to be recruited against unscrupulous people who promise to get them into the Armed Forces.

The Public Relations Officer for the Third Garrison of the Ghana Army, Lieutenant Mary Kwakumey in an interview with GBC NEWS, said the military does not engage middlemen in its recruitment processes. Applicants should therefore avoid such people.

The screening exercise into the Armed Forces at Coronation Park in Sunyani started on Monday 19th and will end on Saturday, 24th of this month. About four thousand 200 applicants are going through the process.

In an interview with GBC NEWS, the Public Relations Officer for the third Garrison of Ghana Army, Lieutenant Mary Kwakumey said, Ghanaians should always look out for official publication of recruitment into the Armed Forces in the state-owned print media.

Some of the applicants told our correspondent that although the process was stressful, they are optimistic to be among the few to be recruited.
