GBC Ladies induct new Executives

The Acting Director-General of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Augustus Yamson, has charged the new Executives of the GBC Ladies Association to use the confidence and trust imposed in them to lead the change in fostering discipline for the growth of the corporation.

He said this at the induction ceremony held at broadcasting house in Accra Tuesday.

The special guest of honour and founder and leader of the Salt and Light Ministries, Rev Dr. Joyce Aryee took the members through the values of leadership. She mentioned integrity, hard work, respect, teamwork amongst others as good values to promote the vision of the group.

The National President of the GBC Ladies Association, Gloria Laryea pledged, on behalf of the group to donate a bus and cameras to GBC and also support the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The elected Executives also pledged to treat members of the association with humility and respect.

The occasion drew personalities such as religious and traditional leaders, former leaders of the corporation, representatives of ladies association of the ECG, Ghana Water Company and the Fire service and some friends of the media.

The GBC Ladies Association came into existence in the mid-70s to foster unity and cooperation among members as well as promote their welfare.
