Prof Alhassan who was accompanied by the Acting Director of Radio,Yaw Opoku Agyapong, stressed the need for the Corporation to maintain its cultural heritage by roping in  the  local languages to enable the audience to better understand issues to reduce tribal conflicts and wars.

He asked the public to disabuse the notion that GBC is not living up to its expectation, adding that the Corporation’s standard of service delivery in terms of professionalism, cannot be compared to any station in Ghana but  rather International ones like the South African Broadcasting Corporation, Kenya Broadcasting and Namibia Broadcasting.

Prof Alhassan noted that GBC is the oldest and only broadcasting house which blends culture in its ways of disseminating information to the public.
