GBC’s Kafui Kumaga laid to rest at Aveme

A former staff of GBC’s Volta Star Radio in Ho in the Volta Region, Magnus Kafui Kumaga, has been laid to rest at his hometown, Aveme in the North Dayi District.

The late Kafui Kumaga popular known as “Grand K2” on radio, died at the Ho Teaching Hospital on March 12, 2020, after a short illness.

He joined Volta Star Radio in 1996 on transfer from GBC’s Twin City Radio in Sekondi Takoradi.

“Grand K2” was until his demise, Head of Programmes at the Station, a position he held for nearly ten years of his 24 years service with the GBC.

He was the regular morning show host and created a segment called “Nsem Pii Parliament” where he focused on everyday matters affecting communities.

Tributes from his family, colleagues, and friends described him as affable and hard-working.

Kafui Kumaga died aged 49 leaving behind two children.
