Government is in discussion with vaccine manufacturers for the procurement and supply of the Coronavirus vaccine for use in the country.
This follows completion of work by the Committee set up by President Akufo-Addo to recommend the appropriate decision on the COVID 19 vaccine.
President Akufo-Addo announced this at the opening of the 72nd New Year School in Accra.
He said the recent upsurge in cases of COVID-19 is an indication that the virus is still active and called for strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
