Ghana Evangelical Society asks church to focus on core mandate

The Ghana Evangelical Society is calling on the church to focus attention on the message of righteousness, to win more souls for Christ. The society has observed that the church today has neglected the word and is rather focusing on materialism. Speaking at a news conference in Accra, the Assistant Leader of the Ghana Evangelical Society, Rev Fred B. Dadson appealed to all churches to speak with one voice and not deviate from the truth. He said At church service held by the Society on Sunday March 6, 2022, the Lord God Jehovah in a prophetic message addressing issues of the land, touched on the Church, lamenting over the state of affairs in the Church in our motherland Ghana. Rev. Dadson added that the question the Most High God posited was “where is the Church in the scheme of things in the land”.

According to the Lord, the Church has forsaken her position, and gone after other gods.  He is therefore calling on church leaders in particular and the church in general to return unto Him, the God of the Church.  The Lord God Jehovah was saying, He cannot reconcile the nation back unto Himself without the Church. According to Rev Dadson, the lamentation of the Most High God is that the Church has gone wayward, and has departed from her course.  ‘Accordingly, the Lord God Jehovah is sounding the clarion call that the Church shall forsake the things of the world to embrace the Cross of Christ and carry the Cross of suffering, reproach and shame’.

For thus saith the LORD, “My Church, you cannot preach the Cross, setting aside its reproach, its suffering and shame.  From whence comes the power, the power you claim to have.  Is it from the Cross? Does it emanate from the Cross?  It is a Cross of sin, it is a Cross of reproach, it is a Cross of shame.  Sin was nailed unto Me.  The reproach of men, the shame.  Yes, I hanged on that tree. I bore it all.  So why would you preach and claim to have the gospel? A gospel without the Cross, its suffering, its shame and reproach? Who told you that the Cross is a Cross of gain, a Cross of riches, a Cross of prosperity?  It is when you have suffered with Me, it is when you have borne the shame and the reproach that you resurrect in My glory and in My beauty”. Rev Dadson indicated that The Most High God would want His servants to give this assurance to the Church that if the Church shall return unto her God, her sins confessing, He the Lord will in no wise cast out. The Ghana Evangelical Society wishes to reiterate its message to the church and nation in the following.
