For the first time in history, the most popular gathering of Ghanaian workers was held in-doors, specifically in the Studios of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC.
The virtual May Day celebration was attended by Executives of the TUC, Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Director General of the GBC, Professor Amin Alhassan and was held under the distinguished patronage of the President, Nana Akufo Addo. Although in doors, the popular chants of the TUC were not missing.
The Director General of GBC, Professor Amin Alhassan was excited that GBC could fulfill its obligation as a State Broadcaster by providing its Studios to host this year’s May Day.
