Ghana, Panama explore ways to deepen bilateral ties

The Deputy and First Vice President of Panama’s National Assembly, H. E. Kayra Harding Bart, has paid a courtesy call on the minister for Fisheries and Aquacultural Development, Mavis Hawa Koomson.

The meeting which took place at the office of the minister in Accra on Friday was aimed at deepening the relationship between both countries.

They discussed a number of fisheries-related issues between both countries which included an intention to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation in several areas within the fisheries sector soon.

According to the minister, strengthening bilateral cooperation between countries in the fisheries sector is key to promoting sustainable fishing.
